Sayles
Canyon Pedestrian Bridge
The Sayles
Canyon pedestrian bridge project was located in a remote area of California,
southwest of Lake Tahoe. Due to the poor condition of the trails leading
to the proposed location of the bridges the use of a crane was impossible.
EMC Builders designed a cable system using 1" cable, snatch blocks,
and chain falls to hoist and position the bridge sections in place.

The pedestrian
bridge now serves as an easy passage over Sayles canyon for hikers who
follow along the original Pony Express trail which stretches from St.
Joseph, Missouri to San Francisco, California.
